Frequently Asked Questions

What are your hours?

Real Talk Therapy has weekday evening telehealth appointments from 5:30 pm - 8 pm, and select Saturday availability (by prior appointment confirmation only) from 10 am - 2 pm.

What are your fees?

In addition to health insurance, Real Talk Therapy, PLLC, accepts self-pay clients at the following *rates =

 

  • Initial Intake Session - $200

  • 60 - minute Individual Session - $150

  • 75 - minute Couple's Session - $200

 

SAVE with our Multi-Session Monthly Packages!

 

  • 4 Weekly Individual Sessions, normally $600 is $550 when you purchase a monthly package! (Save $50 per month!)

 

  • 4 Weekly Couples Sessions, normally $800 is $750 when you purchase a monthly package! (Save $50 per month!)

 

  • 60 - minute support Group, “Round Table” - begins at $50 per person (minimum of 4 participants)

 

Consultation or Coaching Session: $200 for up to 90 minutes for:

  • American Disabilities Act (ADA) College or University Academic Accommodations Review

  • High School Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Plans for Academic Accommodations Review

  • Career Coaching or Resume Review

 

Self-pay payment methods are accepted in advance or at the beginning of a session and include:​

Credit Card by Square or PayPal.

Do you accept Insurance?

Real Talk Therapy, PLLC is now pleased to accept several health insurance providers through our practice support company, Headway. We can accept Aetna in NC, Cigna in NC, Carelon Behavioral Health in NC, Quest Behavioral Health in NC, Anthem EAP - Bank of America in NC. Out-of-state providers we accept are Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NJ, Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA. Please call your health insurance provider to make sure that behavioral health services are included in your benefits. Also inquire about deductibles that may need to be met before reimbursements can be filed.

How long does each therapy session take?

That depends on what we, together, feel would work best for you. An Initial Session may take 60-90 minutes. An Individual Therapy Session or a Group Session typically lasts 60 minutes. A Couple's Therapy Initial Session may last 90 minutes, and a regular Couple's Session may last 60 minutes.

What is your privacy policy regarding personal information and SMS (text) messages?

Personal Information Collected from Clients: Personal information that may be collected from clients may include client contact information and medical or mental health history. ​The purpose for collecting personal information is for professional mental health treatment and billing or administration purposes. Client information will not be shared with third parties, partners, or joint ventures. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
